Smoke Detector With Battery 9 Volt

  • Smoke and other combustion products are the first signs of a potential fire. Thus, detecting smoke particles or toxic combustion gases is one of the fastest known ways to alert people 24/7 to the existence of a potential fire. This will provide more time for a safe evacuation. Automatic detection devices, such as smoke detectors, that are properly installed and maintained, play a vital role in reducing fire deaths and injuries in workplaces and homes. Since the late 1970’s, smoke detectors contributed to an almost 50 percent decrease in fire deaths. Therefore, it is imperative to make sure that smoke detectors and smoke alarms are present and in good working condition for the protection of life and property.

  • Both smoke alarms and smoke detectors work by detecting tiny smoke particles and gases given off when a combustible material burns. Smoke alarms (most common in residential buildings) immediately sound the alarm when a high concentration of smoke is detected. Smoke detectors (most common in businesses) are one component of an alarm system with a fire panel. Sounding the alarm, smoke detectors typically transmit a signal to the control panel to notify and allow an official to investigate an area where a detector has been activated. During this time, the alarm system may initiate other actions such as closing fire doors and activating the building’s smoke controls. If three minutes pass without an assessment of potential fire, the Life Safety Code NFPA 101 and NFPA 72 require that the building’s fire alarm system be programmed to automatically trigger an evacuation alarm.

  • SMOKE DETECTOR Independent
  • Product Introduction:
  • This product named Photoelectric detector (hereinafter called detector) detects the smoke by a couple of infrared diodes. The principle of detecting is granule in the smoke can reflect infrared light. Infrared diodes are placed in the special chamber. The chamber can shield external light, but don't affect the smoke into it. While have no smoke, the diode can receive very weak infrared light. When the smoke entering the detector, the diode can receive strong infrared light. Through Light-Electric signal transform, the detector can send alarm signal.

  • Installation and Test
  1. Select proper place (normally mounted on the center of the ceiling), fix the mounting base, then put the detector into the base and turn it. Avoiding installing in a place that is stagnant smoke, dust, heavy fog, heavy mist, humidity > 95% and wind speed > 5m/s.
  2. Before installation, connect the battery, put it into battery slot. Then detector send "Di" once, and LED flash once.
  3. Then the detector comes into operating state. Indicating LED will flash once per 40 seconds, twice per 1 second at alarm state.
  4. Sensitivity test:
  • Long press the test button more than 3 seconds to test.
  • LED should flash twice per 1s. The detector should give out sound (independence type), should send out RF signal and sound (wireless type).
  • Test the detector by man-made smoke (Recommended)

  • Alarm
  • When the detector is alarming and flashing, if the smoke concentration decreases below dowri the alert value, the detector will auto-back to the normal condition.
  • Low battery voltage When the buzzer make a "Di" every 40 seconds, the LED have a flashing at the same time, it means the battery voltage is low, please change the battery. Otherwise, it would affect the proper functioning.

  • Notice
  1. The detector can't be installed under worse environment.E.g. coldest, hottest, dusty.
  2. Please test it monthly to ensure the detector in a normal working condition.
  3. Please clean the detector by soft brush per six months to ensure the sensitivity and life of product. Pay attention to switch off power before clean.
  4. Cut off the power if no use for a long time.
  5. When the voltage of battery is less than 7.2V, the detector will beep once per 30s. Please change the battery at this condition.
  6. For various reasons, including, but not limited to changes in environmental conditions, electric disruptions and tampering, the product may not perform as expected. The user is advised to take all necessary precautions for his/her safety and the protection of his/her property.
